Im really enjoying your behaviour guide, it does make so much sense. My toddler would just laugh anyway when I told her off it's not teaching her anything! Also with food it's so handy to know to keep putting foods on their plate which you know they won't eat to expose, i do it with mushrooms, I know she's gonna spit them out but I keep putting them on 🤣 it makes sense, I've put veg on her plate forever and now she just eats it doesn't make a fuss at all! Xxx
With so much noise in the parenting world it was so refreshing to find a guide around difficult behaviours that looks at why they are happening rather than just stopping them. It really helped me to see that behaviours our communication and how to respond to what my child is communicating, and then educating them rather than “punishing”! Thank you for shedding light on this Ruth, and it’s really helped me feel more confident 😊

I have been using your behaviour guide for a couple of months now. I can't believe the difference in my 3 year olds hitting. I didn't know how to handle the situation and with the script I feel so in control. I can just follow it and say it word for word. He is hitting so much less and I feel confident. I can't thank you enough for I have a 4 month old and I will be following your guide from as soon as she is old enough!! Xxx
My daughter was biting other children. I was so embarrassed and it made me not want to go to baby group. I have copied your guide word for word and I no longer feel embarrassed I feel in control. Thank you so muc
I just bought your 'no naughty step' guide and I just want to say thank you! This is the way I always try to parent my 3 year old but sometimes it's hard finding the words. Your guide is really easy to read (for my chaotic ADHD brain!) and really simplifies how to manage behaviour. It's also really helpful to show my husband what I am trying to explain to him. So just a quick message to say thank you and that I love your content x
As a professional working in perinatal mental health - I've found Ruth's no naughty step guide fantastic for parents to navigate behaviours which can be triggering for us as adults. It promotes creating an emotionally safe space for your child, and recognising the importance of regulating ourselves in order to support our children. It also highlights how normal a lot of these challenging behaviours are and gentle ways to navigate them alongside the child respectfully.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️So thankful for Ruth and her amazing ‘no naughty step’ guide! I contacted Ruth with some concerns that my 2.5 year old had started hitting his peers. I needed help and wasn’t sure what to do! The guide has really benefited our family and I’ve already noticed such a positive difference. I don’t dread play dates anymore! I would 100% recommend this to all parents!
This guide has been very helpful. I only purchased it a week ago and I already feel very confident in handling my daughter when she hits. Having the page that tells me exactly what to do was amazing. I also really liked the natural consequence page as didn't quite know or understand what they were and how to think of them in the moment. Thank you!
Thank you so much this guide has helped me. I feel so reassured about my little one biting. The guide has given me the tools to react how I wanted to react. It's helped me to manage my own emotional regulation. It's been so helpful.
